George Kirk is an accomplished trial attorney serving clients in Frederick, Hagerstown, and throughout Maryland. He focuses his practice on criminal matters, DUI/DWI defense, and serious traffic cases, providing clients with strategic guidance and strong advocacy during difficult situations. In addition to criminal defense representation, George handles family law matters, including divorce, custody and protective/peace orders. In 2026, George received the Young Lawyer of the Year award for his excellence in criminal defense from the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association.
George earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland and then received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is licensed to practice in Maryland and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association.
In 2024, George completed the NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing course—the same training required for law enforcement officers to become certified in detecting suspected impaired drivers. This specialized training gives him valuable insight into DUI investigations and roadside testing procedures.
Born and raised in Frederick, George is proud to serve the community he calls home. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, cooking, and cheering on the Washington Commanders.
